Chris Hollstedt
Christine Hollstedt is founding President and Chief Executive Officer of FORREX Forum for Research and Extension in Natural Resources - a British Columbia based charitable organization dedicated to the development and application of knowledge to support sustainable ecosystems, economies, and communities. Ms. Hollstedt is passionate about working with resource sector partners to develop strategies that integrate knowledge into sound policies and practical applications. Throughout a career in forest resource planning and management, technology development and research extension leadership she has established a solid foundation in extension and knowledge management. Ms. Hollstedt is author of several provincial research strategies, the Sustainable Forest Management Network knowledge exchange strategy, and British Columbia Forest Extension Program business plan. She is editor in chief of the BC Journal of Ecosystems and Management and leads several think tanks on resource management issues. She is past director of the Forestry Continuing Studies Network, the BC Coalition for the Implementation of the National Forest Strategy, the Coalition of Forest Research Organizations and the British Columbia Forest Science Board. She currently participates on the member council of Sustainable Development Technology Canada and the board for Resources North Association. She is a member of the Association of BC Forest Professionals, the Canadian Society of Association Executives, the Ontario Professional Foresters Association, the Institute for Society and Natural Resources, and the Canadian Institute of Forestry. In addition to numerous research grants and agreements, she is the recipient of the BC Forest Excellence Award (2000), Sustainability Award for Improved Decision Making (2002) and the BC Professional Forester of the Year (2009). Chris is actively involved as mentor and volunteers for local community associations while enjoying quality time with her husband and three adult children.

Marilyn Bittman
Marilyn Bittman is a freelance Managing Editor for the BC Journal of Ecosystems and Management, substituting for Julie Schooling who is currently on extended leave. Marilyn is also the Managing Editor, Journals, for the Canadian Centre for Studies in Publishing Press, Simon Fraser University. She has expertise in print and online publishing, as well as advertising. Her current focus is assisting JEM authors to successfully publish their articles in JEM. She is also passionate about assisting journals to publish online within the Open Access model, helping provide free and open access to knowledge. Marilyn is a co-author of the Best Practices Guide to Scholarly Journal Publishing.
